Versatile itinerant dry cleaning employee at 60% – Permanent contract

No experience in dry cleaning is necessary: free internal training is provided!

Your tasks

The position combines customer reception and service, as well as technical textile treatment.

Reception and customer relations

• Welcome customers and receive their garments.
• Advise them on services suited to their needs.
• Ensure the delivery of orders.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and service quality.

Care and treatment of textiles

• Perform stain removal on garments.
• Carry out washing and drying operations.
• Ensure ironing and preparation of items.
• Check the quality of garments before returning them to customers.
• Respect company procedures and quality standards.

You will be required to work in several shops in the canton of Vaud, depending on team needs.

Job conditions

• Contract: Permanent
• Activity rate: 60%
• Working hours: 25 hours per week
• Salary: 2295 CHF gross per month
• Itinerancy allowance: 150 CHF gross per month (in addition to salary)
• 13th month pay
• Organisation: work over 5 days per week
• Rest days: Sunday and one additional weekday, agreed with the manager and sector supervisor
• Sector: travel between 3 shops in Nyon.

A personal vehicle is essential to ensure travel between the different shops.

Working hours

The usual shop opening hours are from 8 am to 7 pm. Hours are organised according to shop needs, alternating between opening and closing shifts (every other week):

• Opening: 8:30 am to 5 pm.
• Closing: 10 am to 7 pm.

Occasional late openings are also organised, with finishing times up to 9 pm. Good availability and adaptability to hours are therefore necessary.

Profile sought

We are primarily looking for a motivated, serious and reliable person who wishes to learn a new profession.

You are:

• Dynamic, rigorous and organised.
• Comfortable in customer relations and with a good sense of service.
• Able to work in a team and follow instructions.
• Meticulous and attentive to the quality of your work.
• In good physical condition, as the job involves standing for much of the day, working in sometimes warm environments and frequent travel between reception and the back shop.
• Comfortable in French, both spoken and written, to welcome and advise customers.

Experience in catering, hospitality, retail, laundry or dry cleaning is an asset, but beginners are welcome. Comprehensive training will enable you to acquire the necessary technical skills.
