For an established IT company, we are looking for a technically skilled individual who feels at home in the field of modern workplace and virtualisation environments. You can expect a versatile system engineer role focusing on virtual workplaces, server virtualisation, and the stable operation of a demanding IT infrastructure.
- Administration and optimisation of Omnissa DEM in the area of profile and user environment management
- Support of server virtualisation within a VMware vCloud Director environment
- Administration and support of the deployed 10ZiG zero clients as well as notebooks with Horizon Client
- Analysis and resolution of faults in the client, server and virtualisation environment
- Ensuring stable and high-performance operation of the existing infrastructure
- Participation in technical projects, migrations and further development of the system landscape
- Documentation of systems, configurations and technical processes
- Professional experience as a system engineer, system technician or IT system administrator
- Good knowledge of Windows client and server environments
- Experience with VDI or virtual desktop infrastructures, ideally Omnissa/VMware Horizon
- Knowledge of VMware virtualisation environments
- Experience with Omnissa DEM or comparable solutions in user environment/profile management is an advantage
- Experience with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, WEM, FSLogix or comparable VDI technologies is also interesting
- Independent, solution-oriented and reliable working style
- Enjoyment in not only operating existing systems but also technically further developing them

Tasks
- Operation, support and further development of the virtual workplace environment based on Omnissa Horizon- Administration and optimisation of Omnissa DEM in the area of profile and user environment management
- Support of server virtualisation within a VMware vCloud Director environment

Profile
- Completed training in computer science, ideally computer scientist EFZ platform development/system technology, or a comparable qualification- Professional experience as a system engineer, system technician or IT system administrator
- Good knowledge of Windows client and server environments
- Experience with VDI or virtual desktop infrastructures, ideally Omnissa/VMware Horizon
- Knowledge of VMware virtualisation environments
- Experience with Omnissa DEM or comparable solutions in user environment/profile management is an advantage
