Fire Police Inspector AQ3 (or AQ2 ready to train) at 80%
Department / Building Permit Office – Fire Prevention Sector
The fire police plays an essential role in protecting people and property within the municipal territory. It ensures, in particular, that constructions, modifications and events comply with the current fire safety standards.
Activities / You carry out compliance inspections regarding fire prevention and fire police for new constructions, modifications and events. You provide expertise and advice to authorities, construction professionals and private individuals. You draft fire prevention reports as part of the processing of building permit applications and event authorisations.
Your profile / You hold an AQ3 certificate issued by the AEAI, or an AQ2 qualification with the intention to train to AQ3 level (or equivalent qualifications). You have a basic training in the building sector (technician, draughtsperson, architect or equivalent) and possess good knowledge of AEAI fire protection standards. You hold a category B driving licence. You have good interpersonal and teaching skills, demonstrate rigour and autonomy, and are comfortable engaging in dialogue with a variety of interlocutors. You are motivated to put your skills at the service of the fire safety of the population of Neuchâtel.
