Exciting tasks await:
- Leading ICT projects from initiation through conception and implementation to operational handover, as well as responsibility for deadlines, costs, risks and quality.
- Representing the Cantonal Police of Aargau in cross-cantonal and national projects as well as coordinating with police corps, authorities, specialist offices and other partner organisations.
- Gathering and formulating professional and technical requirements as well as developing, assessing and implementing suitable solution variants together with specialist departments, ICT and suppliers.
- Managing project teams and suppliers; coordinating and conducting evaluations and public procurement procedures.
- Developing and communicating decision-making bases, concepts and reports for project committees, police management and other stakeholders; preparing proposals for the government and parliament.
What you bring:
- Education at university/university of applied sciences level in computer science, business informatics, electrical engineering or comparable, as well as several years of experience in managing demanding technology projects.
- Experience in the public sector or a similarly regulated organisation; experience in the police environment, civil protection, military or another safety-critical environment.
- Experience in requirements management, evaluation and procurement of ICT solutions as well as with the HERMES project management methodology and public procurement procedures.
- Experience with network architectures, transmission and telecommunication technologies as well as mission-critical systems, especially safety-critical communication, emergency call or operational systems is an advantage.
- Very good communication and expression skills, negotiation skills, assertiveness and a structured, independent working style; driving licence category B and an impeccable reputation; knowledge of French is an advantage.

The "ICT Projects" service is responsible for the development and further development of the ICT systems and applications of the Cantonal Police Aargau. We work closely with future users and other police corps. We analyse the needs of users, evaluate and procure suitable systems and technologies and establish them in the organisation.
The Cantonal Police Aargau relies on reliable and secure ICT, both in daily police operations and in special and extraordinary situations. As an ICT project manager, you take responsibility for demanding ICT projects. From the initial idea through conception and procurement to implementation and handover to operations.
