PROJECT ARCHITECT (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for a qualified professional as a project architect / architect for execution planning for an established architectural firm focusing on demanding building projects and high-quality architecture. You will take on project and execution planning over the SIA phases 31-53 and accompany construction projects from project development to structural realisation. The focus is on constructive detailed planning, digital architectural planning with ArchiCAD and BIM, as well as coordination of specialist planners and contractors. The position combines architectural design, technical planning, and model-based project processing with diverse construction projects in Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling of demanding architectural projects over the SIA phases 31-53 from preliminary planning to commissioning

• Creation and further development of project, building permit, and execution plans considering design, technical, and economic requirements

• Development of constructive and architectural detailed solutions for building envelopes, facades, interior fittings, and technical connections

• Digital planning and 3D model processing with ArchiCAD including creation and maintenance of structured building models

• Application of BIM methods for model-based coordination, plan derivation, and quality assurance in the architectural process

• Coordination and integration of specialist planning from structural engineering, building services, building physics, and other special disciplines

• Review of technical interfaces between architecture, specialist planning, and construction execution as well as handling of constructive coordination issues

• Creation and control of execution details and working plan documents to ensure professional structural implementation

• Collaboration with executing companies on technical clarifications, materialisation questions, and constructive execution variants

• Support in tenders and awards by providing technical planning bases and reviewing contractor documents

• Planning support during construction execution including handling plan revisions, clarifying technical questions, and coordinating with site management

• Ensuring architectural and technical quality while complying with relevant SIA standards, Swiss building regulations, and project-specific quality standards

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or equivalent recognised training in architecture

• At least two years of professional experience in Swiss architectural practice focusing on project and execution planning

• Very good user knowledge of ArchiCAD as well as solid experience in 3D plan processing and BIM-based architectural planning

• Sound knowledge of SIA phases 31-53, especially project planning, tendering, and execution planning

• Good constructive expertise in building construction, materialisation, detail development, and technical plan coordination

• Experience collaborating with specialist planners and contractors as well as knowledge of relevant Swiss building regulations and SIA standards

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for technical project coordination and planning documentation
