System Administrator - Linux (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:
Ensuring stable operation of the Linux server environment including monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting in the network environment
Technical securing of IT systems by implementing appropriate security measures, continuous log monitoring and conducting vulnerability analyses
Administration and further development of virtualisation environments based on KVM as well as automation of recurring tasks using shell or Python scripts
Close cooperation with internal departments and external service providers to continuously improve the system environment, including evaluation of new hardware and software solutions
Qualifications:
Completed IT training or solid practical experience in Linux operation, network administration and IT security
Very good knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs and Linux services as well as the use of intrusion detection systems
Experience in process automation with scripting languages (e.g. Bash, Python) as well as handling KVM, monitoring tools and established open-source technologies
