For our Department of Construction Supervision and Monument Conservation at the Office for Monument Conservation and Archaeology, we are looking for a
Regional Monument Conservator (60%)
from 1 February 2027 or by arrangement.Your tasks
- Advising property owners, planners and authorities on the maintenance and further development of architectural monuments and local scenes in an assigned region
- Processing building applications and planning procedures (drafting statements)
- Professional handling of applications for restoration grants
- Supporting expert reports, feasibility studies and competitive procedures
Your profile
- University degree in architecture (advantageous) or art history
- Further training in monument conservation or professional experience in monument conservation construction consulting
- Excellent written and spoken German
- Confident manner and enjoyment in working with diverse stakeholders
- Committed personality with high social competence
- Driving licence category B

Your working environment
The Office for Monument Conservation and Archaeology of the Canton of Zug is responsible for the preservation, care, documentation and research of the archaeological and architectural heritage
in the Canton of Zug. To this end, we identify and record cultural assets worth preserving, support owners, construction professionals and municipalities, and conduct archaeological excavations and
building investigations. Around 45 employees from various cultural heritage disciplines work in our five departments.
