Construction Supervising Architect (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced professional as a project manager in architecture / building construction for the independent planning, coordination and realisation of diverse construction projects. You will take responsibility in execution and detailed planning with ArchiCAD, coordinate specialist planners and contractors, and accompany demanding architectural projects from planning to completion. A particular focus lies on the gradual assumption of tasks in construction management, construction coordination as well as cost, schedule and quality control. The position offers a long-term development perspective with the opportunity to specifically expand your own competencies in project and construction management.

Responsibilities:

• Architecture project management: Independent supervision, organisation and coordination of building construction projects across various planning and realisation phases.

• ArchiCAD and execution planning: Creation and editing of execution plans, working drawings and technical detail drawings using ArchiCAD.

• Detailed planning and building construction: Development and optimisation of construction details, material connections and technical building solutions.

• Specialist planner coordination: Coordination of architectural planning with structural engineers, building services planners, contractors and other project participants.

• Project organisation: Coordination of plan deliveries, project deadlines, planning processes and technical interfaces.

• Construction management and execution supervision: Gradual assumption of construction management tasks, site inspections and contractor coordination.

• Cost and schedule controlling: Support in monitoring project budgets, construction costs, schedules and construction progress.

• Tendering and procurement: Participation in the preparation of specifications, tender documents, offer comparisons and award documentation.

• Quality assurance: Control of construction execution regarding plan specifications, execution quality, SIA standards and building regulations.

• Construction meetings and site coordination: Participation in and increasingly independent leadership of construction meetings, contractor discussions and site inspections.

• Building acceptance and defect management: Support in building acceptance, defect recording, follow-up inspections and project documentation.

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH/FH or a comparable recognised qualification in architecture.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in architectural project management, preferably in Swiss building construction.

• Very good ArchiCAD skills as well as solid experience in execution, working and detailed planning.

• Knowledge of Swiss SIA standards, building construction and building regulations.

• Experience in specialist planner coordination, project organisation as well as cost, schedule and quality control.

• Initial knowledge in construction management, tendering and site coordination as well as interest in professional development in construction execution.

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for project documentation, construction meetings and coordination with project participants.
