BIM Specialist (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF100,000 - 105,000Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for a technically skilled individual as a BIM/CAD Specialist at the interface between architecture, engineering and software development. You will process and optimise BIM models, digital workflows and automated planning processes and contribute to innovative proof-of-concept projects for the construction and engineering sector. In addition to Autodesk Revit, ACC/BIM 360, Rhinoceros, scripting as well as point cloud and GIS data, you will engage with the development of new digital methods and processes. The position combines classic architectural and construction tasks with BIM automation, computational design and digital manufacturing processes for projects in Switzerland and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Creation, processing and quality assurance of complex BIM models with Autodesk Revit
Modelling and preparation of BIM objects, families, parameters and project-specific model structures
Conceptualisation, development and testing of BIM workflows and automated modelling processes
Development of scripts and automations to optimise recurring planning, modelling and data tasks
Management and coordination of project data in Common Data Environments (CDE) such as Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360 Docs
Processing and integration of 3D scans and point clouds as a basis for as-built models and digital planning processes
Preparation and linking of GIS data with BIM and 3D models
Creation and further development of complex 3D geometries with Rhinoceros as well as transferring data into BIM and manufacturing processes
Close collaboration with software developers, engineers and architects in developing digital solutions
Processing of architectural, construction and execution projects as well as creation of technical planning documents
Creation of workshop, production and manufacturing documents for project-specific components and constructions
Conceptualisation and practical implementation of smaller proof-of-concept and prototyping projects including support for tests and experimental manufacturing processes
Qualifications:
Education or degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction planning, geomatics, computational design or a comparable technical field
Solid experience with BIM models and very good user knowledge of Autodesk Revit
Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360 Docs or comparable CDE platforms
Good knowledge of Rhinoceros/3D modelling as well as experience with 3D scans, point clouds or GIS data
Experience with scripting and automation, for example in the context of parametric or BIM-based workflows
Knowledge in creating architectural, project, execution or manufacturing documents
Good English skills; German skills for projects in the Swiss market are an advantage
