Role:
You enjoy being close to technology, take responsibility for complex infrastructures, and want to actively develop modern datacenter and cloud environments? In this role, you combine architectural understanding with operational implementation. You ensure stable, secure, and high-performance systems, optimise existing platforms, and accompany technical changes from planning to productive operation.
You can expect a demanding role with a lot of personal responsibility, technical scope for design, and the opportunity to implement sustainable improvements directly.
Responsibilities:
You operate and further develop datacenter, private cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments and independently implement technical solutions.
You optimise the architecture regarding availability, scalability, security, standardisation, and costs and integrate suitable new technologies.
You are responsible for technical changes, maintenance work, updates, and lifecycle measures and accompany infrastructure projects and migrations up to operational handover.
You support 3rd-level support with complex faults, analyse technical risks and performance bottlenecks, and initiate appropriate improvement measures.
You implement security requirements and technical protective measures, support compliance and risk issues, and improve the quality of infrastructure operations through automation, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications:
You have several years of practical experience in operating datacenter, private cloud, or hybrid cloud infrastructures.
You possess sound knowledge in servers, storage, networks, virtualisation, backup, and IT security and can independently implement technical concepts.
You are familiar with highly available ICT architectures as well as change, patch, problem, and lifecycle management.
You know relevant security and data protection requirements, especially ISO 27001, the Swiss Data Protection Act, and the GDPR. Knowledge in IAM, Zero Trust, VPN, and network security is also important.
You work independently, analytically, and responsibly, actively tackle technical challenges, and enjoy sharing your knowledge within the team. You are prepared for occasional evening and weekend shifts as well as on-call duty and hold a category B driving licence.
