Role:
The public organisation is responsible for the planning, operation and further development of important municipal infrastructures.
In the civil engineering sector, roads, water and sewage systems, watercourses as well as flood and environmental protection are the focus.
Employees accompany infrastructure projects from conception and planning to implementation and work together with specialist planners, companies, authorities and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
You independently ensure the entire financial accounting including subsidiary ledgers and ensure correct management of the general ledger.
You carry out controls and reconciliations and ensure proper posting according to HRM2.
From accruals to balance sheet and income statement, you prepare the documents for the annual financial statements and audit.
You support the team with your expertise on topics related to value added tax, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
In addition, you accompany trainees and answer technical questions from internal and external contacts.
Qualifications:
You have a commercial basic education and have specialised in finance and accounting.
You already bring several years of practical experience in financial accounting and financial statement preparation.
Your knowledge in the value added tax area is solid.
Confident handling of Excel and MS Office as well as ideally Abacus knowledge characterise you.
Fluent written and spoken German is required.
