Project Manager - Datacenter Transformation

Administrative requirement: residence in Switzerland required at the start of the position (relocation possible before commencement)

Context:

Our client, a player in a highly regulated financial environment, builds and operates the infrastructure platforms hosting all its business applications. The Datacenter & Cloud team designs, industrialises and operates these platforms by combining security, compliance, performance and resilience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end datacenter transformation programme: planning, budget, risks, governance

• Unite international and local teams around shared objectives to ensure a smooth transition

• Coordinate the relocation of applications, services and asset transformations to cloud services or to the Geneva site: databases, servers, virtual desktop environments (VDI), file shares

• Identify, track and manage programme risks

• Lead steering committees, produce presentation materials and ensure coordination with all stakeholders

• Coordinate the decommissioning of remote datacentres at the end of the programme, once transformations and migrations are completed

Candidate profile:

Essential

• Proven experience managing large-scale projects or initiatives: mastery of project management methodologies and tools, budget and risk management

• Ability to lead a steering committee and coordinate multiple stakeholders, including internationally

• Team leader attitude: quality orientation, respect for deadlines and budget, ability to motivate

• Knowledge of a regulated banking or financial environment, its applications and compliance constraints

• Fluent French and English, both written and spoken

Education

Higher education in engineering or computer science (ETH, University of Applied Sciences or equivalent).
