IT Support Technician
Today we are looking for a Senior Support Technician to join us internally.
?? Context: Within our support and managed services team based in Geneva, you will work directly on the IT architectures of our SME clients to ensure their smooth daily operation. You will manage the technical process end-to-end, from incident handling to direct intervention on servers and networks.
Your role:
- Provide N1/N2 technical support and resolve incidents by working directly on client systems
- Administer and maintain Windows servers daily (Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP) and virtualised environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Monitor the infrastructure via our monitoring tools and verify the integrity of daily backups (notably with Veeam)
- Diagnose and handle first-level network and security faults (Fortinet firewalls, switches, VLANs, VPN)
- Carry out preventive maintenance, updates, and operational follow-up of server and workstation fleets
- Perform technical interventions on client sites and participate in on-call rotations
- Handle user requests, document architectures, and enrich the knowledge base
Profile sought:
- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as an IT technician or equivalent technical training
- At least 5 years of practical experience combining user support and concrete server operation in SMEs or with a service provider
- Experience connecting to and operating directly on Windows Server and hypervisors (not just helpdesk or ticket forwarding)
- Knowledge of professional backup solutions (experience with Veeam Backup is a plus)
- Basic understanding of enterprise networking (IP addressing, VLAN, basic firewall filtering)
- Residence in Geneva preferred
- Driver’s licence required to occasionally work at client sites
- Strong customer service sense, team spirit, rigour, and excellent communication in French
