Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Modern cloud environments require engineering rather than classic system administration. We are looking for a cloud specialist who automates Azure landscapes, standardises platforms, and creates robust foundations for modern applications using Terraform, Bicep, and DevOps methods.
Responsibilities:
Development of an automated Azure platform for modern workloads
Establishment and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code standards
Creation of modular Terraform and Bicep solutions
Automation of the deployment of complete infrastructure stacks
Development of self-service mechanisms for technical teams
Integration of cloud security and identity management into the platform architecture
Design of network, compute, storage, and identity concepts
Optimisation of cloud costs, performance, and scalability
Building observability solutions for transparent cloud operations processes
Further development of existing CI/CD and deployment workflows
Automation of tests and quality controls for infrastructure code
Support of cloud migrations and application modernisations
Technical consulting of development teams in the use of the cloud platform
Definition and enforcement of technical standards and cloud best practices
Qualifications:
Experience as a cloud engineer, DevOps engineer, or infrastructure engineer
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure
Very good practical experience with Terraform and ideally Bicep
Experience in building automated cloud infrastructures
Understanding of modern network, identity, and security concepts
Experience with CI/CD, Git, and automated deployment processes
Ideally knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies
Interest in DevSecOps, platform engineering, and cloud automation
Ability to solve complex technical issues in a structured manner
Quality awareness in code, architecture, and automation
Enjoyment in developing robust and reusable solutions from manual processes
