Canton of Schaffhausen, Office for Justice and Municipalities
The Office for Justice and Municipalities comprises twelve people. In addition to municipal supervision, it is responsible for cantonal tasks in civil law (e.g. inheritance law, civil status law), handling appeals procedures, supporting legislative projects, and the administration of justice. The office is managed by a co-leadership divided by specialist areas (Head of Legal Service and Head of Administration of Justice).

What to expect- Management of the office in organisational, personnel and professional matters together with a co-leader responsible for the area of administration of justice.
- Drafting consultations of the Government Council and the Department for submission to the Confederation
- Handling appeals procedures
- Fulfilling civil law supervisory functions (civil status, inheritance)
- Citizenship matters
- Legislative projects for the head of department
- Participation in inter- and intra-cantonal committees, working groups and conferences
What you bring
- Completed law degree (Master or Licentiate), bar admission advantageous
- Solid professional experience (preferably in public administration), ideally in a leadership role
- High organisational, methodological and communication skills
- Good intuition and diplomatic skill in dealing with various stakeholders
- Strategic and networked thinking
- Impeccable reputation, discretion, loyalty and team spirit
- Assertiveness and a convincing manner
