Building virtual worlds, protecting data, rethinking infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
Planning, operation and continuous optimisation of a virtualised server environment
Further development of VMware infrastructures focusing on performance, availability and scalability
Administration and optimisation of modern NetApp storage systems
Design and operation of reliable backup and recovery architectures
Responsibility for Veeam Backup & Replication including monitoring and fault analysis
Development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity concepts
Analysis of complex infrastructure issues across servers, storage and virtualisation
Planning and implementation of technical migrations and lifecycle projects
Automation of recurring administrative tasks with PowerShell
Monitoring capacity, performance and availability of the infrastructure
Evaluation of new technologies and further development of existing platforms
Creation and maintenance of technical concepts and operational documentation
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in system engineering or infrastructure environment
Solid knowledge of VMware virtualisation
Practical experience with NetApp storage
Very good knowledge in backup and recovery, ideally with Veeam
Understanding of server, storage and network architectures
Experience with PowerShell or comparable automation solutions
Analytical skills and enjoyment of complex technical issues
Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
High quality awareness regarding availability, security and data integrity
Interest in modern infrastructure technologies and continuous optimisation
