Role:

As a Cloud Systems Engineer (Microsoft Azure), you design a Microsoft Azure infrastructure that is well thought out from the network to the end device. Engineering and operation are your responsibility, and you actively drive the targeted further development of the platform. Automation with PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a fixed part of your daily routine. When things get tricky, you keep an overview and find the actual cause. Your technical depth and your eye for costs and security are in demand.

Responsibilities:

• You administer the Windows Server platform and optimise central infrastructure services in the cloud.

• Identities are in your hands: you configure roles, app registrations, and enterprise applications in Microsoft Entra ID as well as access and security specifications.

• Furthermore, you design virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, as well as storage and compute services and implement them.

• You provide Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365, and Intune and keep the digital workplace stable.

• In addition, you ensure high availability with monitoring, alerting, and logging, set up backup and recovery solutions, and analyse complex incidents up to the root cause.

• You also plan cloud migrations, changes, and lifecycle measures and optimise existing resources for performance, security, and costs.

Qualifications:

• You bring several years of experience of at least 3 years in system engineering around cloud and Windows.

• You are familiar with central IaaS and PaaS components such as virtual machines, storage, and private networking from your own experience.

• Solid knowledge of routing, firewalls, DNS, VPN, and hybrid connections rounds off your network profile.

• You are well acquainted with RBAC, Entra ID, and modern client infrastructures based on Windows Server, Intune, and AVD.

• You enjoy automating with PowerShell and have experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.

• Additionally, you have knowledge of Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and business continuity, think solution-oriented, and work independently. You communicate confidently in German and also master English technical discussions effortlessly.
