For an internationally oriented environment, an experienced individual is sought who will technically manage and continuously develop a modern IT infrastructure. The focus is on servers, cloud, Microsoft core services, networks, and security, as well as the reliable availability of business-critical systems.
You will take on a central technical role, be the contact person for complex infrastructure issues, and actively shape standards and operational processes. In addition to daily operations, projects, security measures, and infrastructure development are part of your responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Administration and optimisation of physical and virtual servers as well as Microsoft services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies
Operation and maintenance of Microsoft SQL database environments, ensuring performance and availability
Taking over 3rd-level support for complex infrastructure issues in on-premise and cloud environments
Planning and further development of secure network architectures with firewalls, load balancers, VPCs, and routing
Management of certification authorities and SSL/TLS certificates as well as implementation of patch and security measures
Creation of technical standards, documentation, and operational concepts as well as participation in on-call and maintenance services
Qualifications:
Education in computer science with a degree at HF, FH, or comparable level
At least 5 years of professional experience in cloud, infrastructure, and/or IT security
Solid knowledge of server, network, cloud, and security technologies
Experience with Microsoft infrastructures and ideally virtualisation technologies such as Proxmox
Solution-oriented, independent, and practical working style with a strong security awareness
Willingness to participate in on-call duties, maintenance work outside office hours, and occasional on-site assignments
Very good German skills and fluent English
Additional experience in software development or relevant certifications are an advantage
