The Clinic for Urology offers a wide range of diagnostics and therapies for all urological diseases.
We are nationally recognised for the treatment of prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer.
Endoscopic and laparoscopic-robot-assisted procedures are a focus of our clinical work, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence in men and women.
Who we are
Your tasks
- You want to actively support us for 1 to 4 months in our daily hospital routine, participate in ward rounds and reports, assist in operations, and take on your own tasks in the emergency department?
- You will also learn the assessment and treatment of urological patients and various manual skills important for everyday work
- During the placement, you will learn urological clinical assessment, care for patients pre- and post-operatively, and be assigned to the outpatient clinic, ward, and operating theatre
- Learning to handle and insert various urological catheters
- Introduction to urological ultrasound examination is possible
Your profile
- Enrolled medical student
- Level: In the elective study year (CH) or in the practical year or student at the time of the clinical attachment in the 4th year of study or 2nd clinical year
- 1 – 4 months internship duration
- German language skills at least level B2
