The Technical Sales Manager - Utilities & Industrial Water is responsible for accelerating the adoption and growth of bNovate’s real-time water monitoring solutions within major utility and industrial accounts. This involves establishing robust client partnerships, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives, and providing exceptional service and customised solutions to deliver enduring value.

The position is based in Ecublens (VD), 100%, Permanent position.

Technical Sales Manager - Utilities and Industrial Water

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and grow key accounts

Develop strong, long-term relationships with utilities and industrial customers, ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.

Drive sales and business development

Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and target new strategic clients.

Promote technical solutions

Position bNovate’s technology as high-value solutions, translating technical capabilities into clear customer benefits.

Act as a trusted advisor

Understand customer processes and challenges/needs to recommend tailored solutions that improve water quality and operational efficiency.

Support implementation and adoption

Oversee onboarding of new systems, ensuring smooth integration and long-term utilisation by customers.

Provide market and customer insights

Gather and share customer feedback to support product development and commercial strategy.

YOUR PROFILE

• Strong understanding of water treatment processes (drinking water, wastewater, or industrial water systems)
• Significant work experience within or in relation with the target segments
• Knowledge of water quality and microbiological monitoring principles
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and sensor-based technologies used in water applications
• Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into operational insights for customers
• Experience with complex technical solution selling in B2B or industrial environments
• Understanding of utility or industrial operational environments (e.g., process control, compliance, maintenance workflows)
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills in technical contexts
• Structured and disciplined
• Resilient and persistent (able to manage long sales cycles typical in utilities and industrial sectors, where decisions take time and involve multiple stakeholders)
• Excellent communication skills in English, French and/or German are desirable (any additional language a plus)
• Adaptability (comfortable in a scale-up evolving environment, able to adjust quickly to changing priorities or feedback)
