The Basel-Landschaft Security Directorate (SID) is one of the five directorates of the cantonal administration. It ensures public safety, the protection of the population, and the enforcement of central state tasks in the areas of police, justice, migration, and civil protection.

The Civil Law Administration is one of ten departments of the SID with around 130 employees. It enforces federal and cantonal civil law and provides central services in the areas of land registry, commercial register, civil status, inheritances, as well as debt enforcement and bankruptcy. The Tasks

• Ensuring a legally compliant, high-quality, and efficient service operation as well as achieving the defined quality, performance, and processing targets.

• Further development of the Civil Law Administration into a modern, uniformly managed organisation that positions itself positively in the politically and publicly exposed environment.

• Enabling employees to take responsibility and promote cross-departmental collaboration and a shared understanding of "one Civil Law Administration".

• Consistently strengthening the service orientation towards the population, businesses, and authorities.

Your Profile

• Completed university degree in law (MLaw/lic. iur.); bar admission or notary qualification is an advantage.

• Several years of leadership and management experience, ideally in public administration, justice, or a comparable environment.

• Profound expertise in at least one core area of civil law administration as well as experience in leading managers and developing organisations.

• Integrity, reflective and decisive leadership personality with high social competence as well as an appreciative and binding leadership style.

• Strong communication and change management skills with the ability to reconcile different interests and to act confidently and with foresight even in a politically influenced environment.
