Fixed-term Contract First Job - Data Specialist - eco21 Programme

What we will achieve together

As a Data Specialist - eco21 Programme, you will contribute, through the development of IT tools, to achieving the cantonal objectives of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, electricity consumption, as well as preserving resources and reducing waste quantities in the canton. The SIG eco21 Programme aims to encourage all companies, property owners and public authorities in Geneva to implement actions that reduce thermal, electrical and water consumption in the canton of Geneva, as well as reduce waste production.

Your energy in the service of a sustainable Geneva

In your role, you will be responsible for, among other things:

• Characterising and directing requests from the eco21 Plans and Solutions managers (bug triage, tool testing, feedback, development needs);
• Formalising incident management processes;
• Supporting teams in resolving their daily technical issues and documenting encountered problems;
• Developing datasets and dataflows to deploy BI for eco21;
• Proposing and creating BI reports for better operational monitoring.

Your personality and skills

You demonstrate autonomy, proactivity and rigour. Results-oriented, you have a service and communication mindset and enjoy teamwork. You have skills in IT tool development and bug resolution, as well as in Business Intelligence, database structuring and integrity. Strong analytical ability and management of technical projects are also among your strengths. You master star schema modelling for BI and have good knowledge of Python or SQL. Knowledge of Microsoft DevOps and concepts in data translating are a plus. A degree in IT (EPFL) or equivalent is desired. Specific checks may be required for this role.

The salary will be calculated based on an annual reference salary spread over thirteen payments, depending on your qualification:

• Bachelor: CHF 75,000 gross (100% basis) spread over thirteen payments.
• Master: CHF 78,000 gross (100% basis) spread over thirteen payments.
