Role:

Good security does not arise from individual tools. It arises from an architecture that integrates all levels. As a Senior Security Engineer Identity & Access, you design exactly such solutions for managed security services and demanding customer environments. In doing so, you combine Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), detection engineering, and incident response into a coherent whole. Your expertise sets technical standards and effectively protects organisations from modern attacks.

Responsibilities:

• You design multi-layered security architectures for applications, cloud, identity, endpoint, and network and develop zero-trust concepts including MFA

• You independently design log source integrations, correlation rules, and detection use cases to make complex attack patterns visible at an early stage

• In critical incidents, you take on the technical leadership and manage containment, remediation, and follow-up

• Furthermore, you drive the architecture of NDR, XDR, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions and design cloud, enterprise, and web application firewalls

• You define hardening standards and vulnerability management processes and automate analysis workflows with Bash, Python, and APIs

• Additionally, you assess customer environments, test new technologies in proofs of concept, and support pre-sales with well-founded solution architectures

Qualifications:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in security architecture, cyber security engineering, or security operations

• You possess deep knowledge in application, cloud, identity, endpoint, and network security, as well as practical experience with firewalls, WAF, and EDR, XDR, and NDR technologies

• You confidently reconstruct attack chains across various data sources and derive effective detection measures from them

• You work proficiently with SIEM and log management, analyse Windows and Linux logs, and understand HTTP/S, DNS, TLS, and TCP/IP from a security perspective

• Furthermore, you master vulnerability scanning, hardening, and least-privilege principles, and ideally know standards such as CIS Benchmarks, MITRE ATT&CK, or NIST from practical experience

• You think in a networked way, approach problems solution-oriented, and communicate technically precisely in both German and English
