Role:
Automation instead of manual processes: Develop a modern engineering environment where software reaches production faster and more reliably.
This position is aimed at DevOps specialists who connect infrastructure and software development. The focus is on automated delivery processes, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and the consistent standardisation of technical procedures.
Work location: Bern or Zurich
Responsibilities:
Development and optimisation of a modern DevOps toolchain
Establishment of highly automated build, test, and deployment processes
Design and maintenance of efficient CI/CD pipelines
Automation of infrastructure, application, and deployment processes
Operation and further development of containerised workloads on Kubernetes
Development of reusable automation and deployment modules
Implementation of infrastructure-as-code and configuration management concepts
Standardisation of technical procedures to reduce manual work
Integration of various development, infrastructure, and deployment tools
Analysis and optimisation of existing delivery processes
Participation in the modernisation of classic infrastructure and virtualisation solutions
Evaluation of new technologies for containerisation, automation, and platform operation
Establishment of DevOps best practices and technical standards
Collaboration with software development and infrastructure on complex technical projects
Qualifications:
Education in computer science, degree, or comparable solid practical experience
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or comparable container platforms
Very good Linux knowledge
Practical experience with GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or comparable platforms
Solid knowledge in CI/CD and deployment automation
Experience with Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation tools
Understanding of infrastructure as code and modern configuration management
Ideally experience with VMware, Nutanix, Proxmox, or other virtualisation platforms
Interest in cloud-native technologies and modern software architectures
Strong technical understanding and enjoyment of complex problem-solving
Proactive, independent, and structured working style
