Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Traffic Planning for the development and implementation of future-oriented traffic, mobility, and infrastructure projects in the municipal environment. You will handle complex issues at the interface of traffic planning, urban development, spatial planning, and infrastructure and accompany projects through various planning phases. You will coordinate external specialist offices, work in interdisciplinary project teams, and represent the interests of the public sector towards authorities, planning offices, and other project participants.
Responsibilities:
Development and management of projects in the areas of traffic planning, mobility, and traffic infrastructure
Handling traffic projects across various planning and project phases
Development and evaluation of traffic and mobility concepts
Planning and further development of solutions for motorised individual traffic, public transport, as well as pedestrian and cycle traffic
Coordination of traffic projects with urban, neighbourhood, and site developments
Coordination and technical leadership of external traffic and engineering offices
Participation in interdisciplinary projects with spatial planning, civil engineering, urban design, and other specialist areas
Representation of client interests towards canton, municipalities, transport companies, planning offices, and other stakeholders
Review and assessment of external plans, studies, and project documents
Preparation of decision-making bases, statements, and technical reports
Support of political and administrative coordination and approval procedures
Participation in overarching tasks of municipal traffic and urban planning
Qualifications:
University degree in traffic planning, traffic engineering, civil engineering, spatial planning or a comparable field
Several years of professional experience in traffic, mobility, or infrastructure planning is an advantage
Knowledge of Swiss traffic and spatial planning processes
Experience in project management and coordination of external planning offices
Understanding of the interrelations between traffic, settlement development, and public space
Good IT user skills; knowledge of CAD, GIS, or traffic planning software is an advantage
Very good German language skills as well as strong negotiation and communication skills
