Why do we need you?
Following the departure of one of our colleagues, we are looking for a midwife or midwife nurse to join our team and participate in patient care throughout their journey, in an environment where quality of care, listening and collaboration are central.
What will you be expected to do?
- Support expectant mothers, newborns and their families at every stage, from pregnancy to postpartum
- Provide autonomous, personalised and safe care, in collaboration with doctors and the multidisciplinary team
- Monitor the progress of pregnancy, labour and postpartum, and intervene judiciously when the situation requires
- Manage labour independently in the delivery room, in close connection with independent doctors responsible for medical oversight
- Support parents in their choices and provide useful advice around birth, breastfeeding and the first days with baby
- Accompany particular situations with listening and kindness, including during more difficult moments
- Contribute to the variety of activities offered within the maternity ward by applying your skills and interests, notably in childbirth preparation classes and complementary consultations (hypnosis, baby massage, prenatal yoga, etc.)
- Participate in the supervision, training and evaluation of students as well as in the development of skills within the team
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of care quality, working groups and research projects in obstetric care

The maternity team consists of 26 caregivers, mostly midwives. In a family-like, relaxed, caring and very joyful atmosphere, we support families before and after the arrival of their child. Mutual support within the maternity ward is one of our values. We can always count on a colleague and this is truly appreciated.

You will be in direct contact with Emily Wieland, Head Midwife Nurse of the Maternity Care Unit. With solid experience in various acute obstetric care units, her priority is to ensure the well-being of her team so they can provide high-quality care. She ensures the daily smooth running of the service according to the common objectives of the service and the Clinic.
What do we expect from you?
Essentials:
- Hold a University of Applied Sciences diploma as a Midwife Nurse or Midwife or a title recognised by the Swiss Red Cross
- Have recent experience in the delivery room
- Have experience in consultations and postpartum care
- Master monitoring of mother and newborn and be able to quickly identify a risk situation
- Demonstrate autonomy, rigour and discernment in practice
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to manage stress and sense of responsibility
- Place listening, respect and patient needs at the heart of your support
Your assets:
- Comfortable supporting breastfeeding and childbirth preparation
- Additional diplomas or certifications in perinatal care
- Committed to knowledge transfer and student support
