Our General Management is looking for a:

You will be responsible for the management, animation and development of the Millennium Bookshop, a place of discovery, exchange and cultural encounters.

A true ambassador of the venue, you contribute to offering a warm and inspiring customer experience while actively participating in the cultural life of Millennium in collaboration with the Gallery and other teams.

Your duties

• Ensure the operational management and daily animation of the Millennium Bookshop, guaranteeing a high-quality customer experience.
• Develop the attractiveness of the Bookshop through a rich and varied cultural programme (meetings, conferences, book signings, themed events...).
• Advise and support customers, creating an environment conducive to discovery and exchange.
• Collaborate with the Millennium Gallery to propose joint events and projects highlighting the cultural and artistic aspects of the site.
• Occasionally carry out sales and reception activities within the Gallery space.
• Actively contribute to the Bookshop’s prominence and its establishment with institutions, cultural partners and local stakeholders.

Your profile

• Bookshop apprenticeship certificate or university degree (Bachelor or Master) in literature, history, humanities, economics or equivalent field.
• At least 5 years’ proven experience managing a bookshop, cultural space or comparable environment.
• Strong general knowledge and keen interest in literature, arts and cultural activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong sense of service.
• Collaborative spirit and ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders.
• Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English; German is an asset.
• Neat appearance and particular attention to quality of welcome and details.
