Role:
A cloud platform is only as strong as its architecture. As a Cloud Platform Engineer (Senior), you design exactly this foundation for a Microsoft Azure environment and significantly shape its technical direction. Your decisions range from the landing zone to network segmentation. In challenging incidents, you are the technical authority everyone relies on. This way, you combine strategic thinking with genuine hands-on mentality.
Responsibilities:
You design landing zones and define standards for subscriptions, resource groups, governance, and security.
Complex network architectures with peering, private DNS, VPN, and firewalling are your responsibility.
Furthermore, you develop permission concepts with RBAC, enterprise applications, and Microsoft Entra ID.
You standardise deployments with Bicep and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and consistently reduce manual steps.
In critical disruptions, you take technical leadership and analyse causes across all layers.
Additionally, you advance Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 and specifically develop alerting and backup concepts.
Qualifications:
You have several years of practical experience in cloud and Microsoft infrastructure engineering.
You work confidently with compute, storage, and identity services and are familiar with concepts for high availability and disaster recovery firsthand.
You master network topics such as private endpoints, routing, and firewall concepts even in complex scenarios.
Furthermore, you automate demanding processes with PowerShell and have successfully used Terraform.
You know Windows Server and hybrid infrastructures inside out, as well as monitoring with Log Analytics.
You also think in a networked way, recognise dependencies between security, network, and Microsoft 365, and derive well-founded architectural decisions from this.
Benefits:
- Home office
- Experienced and dynamic team
- Interesting and varied activities/projects
- Flat hierarchies
- Coaching and mentoring
- Flexible working hours
- Open corporate culture
- Comfortable office with modern infrastructure
- Above-average holidays and days off
- Participation in or provision of company car
