About the job
- Advanced technical training in mechanical engineering, production engineering or industrial engineering, microtechnology, precision engineering or related field. Swiss qualifications such as HES/FH Engineer, ET/HF Technician, or any equivalent qualification in the same field are required.
- Significant experience in precision manufacturing, production planning, industrialisation or manufacturing engineering.
- Very good knowledge of manufacturing small high-precision components: technical drawings, tolerances, tooling and process-related requirements.
- Experience in preparing or validating manufacturing ranges and production technical documentation.
- Knowledge of production planning based on an ERP system and reference technical data.
- Proven experience in coordinating engineering or production activities across multiple manufacturing sites.
Experience in manufacturing watch components is a significant asset, particularly in the following areas:
Precision cutting and stamping.
Tooling and dies.
Assembly.
Swiss watchmaking quality standards.
- Translate customers' technical plans, specifications and quality requirements into feasible manufacturing plans.
- Define manufacturing processes, operational ranges, materials, tooling and assemblies for new and recurring orders.
- Prepare and validate technical drawings, process documentation and technical data in the ERP.
- Coordinate production capacities, materials and tooling, while anticipating technical difficulties and potential bottlenecks in deadlines.
- Coordinate engineering support as well as the supply of specialised tooling and components with the group’s Asian sites.
- Ensure that technical requirements are communicated clearly and consistently between different sites.
- Monitor quality, deadlines and technical issues related to tooling and components from international sources.
- Participate in the transfer and adaptation of manufacturing knowledge and best practices between the group’s different sites.
