Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Senior Project Manager: Construction Management for the overall management of demanding building projects in Switzerland. You will accompany construction projects from planning and detailed planning through tendering and realisation to acceptance and warranty work and take overall responsibility for costs, deadlines, and quality. You will lead interdisciplinary project teams and coordinate clients, authorities, specialist planners, and contractors. The position combines solid construction management, project control, and execution knowledge with a high standard of architecture and constructive quality.
Responsibilities:
Assuming overall project management for demanding new build, conversion, and renovation projects in building construction
Managing projects from design and detailed planning through tendering and awarding to realisation and handover
Leading and coordinating interdisciplinary project teams, specialist planners, experts, and contractors
Responsibility for cost management, schedule control, quality assurance, and project controlling
Central interface to clients, authorities, architecture, specialist planning, and executing companies
Coordination and quality assurance of detailed and execution planning including control of relevant interfaces and plan statuses
Preparation and monitoring of project schedules, cost forecasts, decision bases, and project reporting
Management of tendering, submissions, awarding, contracts, and change orders
Leading project, planning, and coordination meetings as well as consistent task and decision management
Development and implementation of technically, economically, and architecturally convincing solutions in construction management
Monitoring realisation with regard to SIA standards, contracts, execution quality, and official requirements
Accompanying acceptances, defect management, building handovers, and warranty work until complete project closure
Qualifications:
Completed studies in Architecture FH/ETH, Civil Engineering FH/ETH, further training as Technician HF Building Construction or comparable construction-technical education
Several years of solid professional experience in leading complex building projects in Switzerland
Comprehensive knowledge in construction management, project control, detailed planning, and realisation
Sound knowledge of relevant SIA standards, Swiss construction processes, and contractual bases
Experience in cost planning, schedule management, tendering, awarding, and change order management
Proven experience in leading and coordinating interdisciplinary project teams
Confident handling of industry-standard construction administration, cost, scheduling, and project management software
