Do you want to actively shape the future of Green?
Overall responsibility for the strategic and operational development of complex infrastructure and data centre projects with an investment volume of several billion CHF - from site development and feasibility assessment through project conception and definition to handover for realisation.
Your area of responsibility
- Leadership and further development of the project development division within Construction
- Overall responsibility for the early project phases of site development, feasibility, Pre-FEED, FEED and project definition
- Ensuring reliable decision-making bases for investment, site, technology and approval decisions
- Managing interfaces between Real Estate, Engineering, Construction, Finance, Procurement, Legal and Operations
- Managing feasibility studies, variant comparisons, risk analyses, project development budgets and overarching schedule assumptions
- Ensuring clear project requirements, cost frameworks, schedule assumptions, risks and decision bases before handover to execution
- Leadership and professional development of project developers as well as ensuring a uniform methodology
- Establishing and further developing standards for project development, project approvals, gate processes and management reports
- Prioritising project development resources and coordinating parallel development projects
- Supporting the Executive Board in strategic development decisions and portfolio prioritisation
- Early escalation of significant risks, goal conflicts and deviations to the responsible management bodies
Your skills
- Several years of leadership experience in the development of complex real estate, infrastructure, industrial or data centre projects with high investment volumes
- Sound experience in site and project development as well as in managing the various development phases - from feasibility studies through Pre-FEED and FEED to project definition and investment approval
- Very good knowledge of investment planning, cost, schedule and risk management as well as evaluation of project variants and business cases
- Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams as well as managing external planners, consultants and other project partners
- Experience in preparing and supporting investment and management decisions as well as in creating sound decision bases for executive management and board
- Strong strategic, analytical and entrepreneurial thinking as well as a good understanding of technical and economic contexts
- Convincing leadership personality with strong communication and assertiveness skills
- Fluent German and English skills
