Construction Manager (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF105,000 - 110,000Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Construction Manager Building Construction / Main Construction Trade for the independent handling of diverse construction projects from work preparation to project completion. You will be responsible for work preparation, site organisation as well as cost, schedule and quality control and coordinate collaboration with site management, clients, suppliers and subcontractors. In addition, you ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations and take on important tasks in measurement, billing and post-calculation. The position offers comprehensive operational responsibility in the Swiss main construction trade and direct influence on economical project execution.
Responsibilities:
Independent construction management and handling of construction projects from work preparation to acceptance and project completion
Responsibility for work preparation including site setup, resource, personnel, material and equipment planning
Control and monitoring of costs, schedules and quality as well as ongoing progress checks
Leadership and coordination of foremen, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
Ensuring occupational safety and health protection on the managed construction sites in accordance with applicable Swiss regulations
Conducting construction and coordination meetings as well as negotiations with clients, site management, planners and companies
Obtaining and evaluating supplier and subcontractor offers as well as supporting awards and orders
Processing of measurements, time and material work, change orders and billing as well as checking the services rendered
Performing target-actual comparisons, cost controls and post-calculations to ensure project profitability
Maintaining construction administration and project controlling data with SORBA and preparing relevant project documentation
Early identification of cost, schedule and execution risks and initiating appropriate measures
Qualifications:
Completed basic training in the main construction trade, for example as a bricklayer with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ), ideally with several years of site experience
Further training as a certified construction manager, technician HF construction management/planning or comparable qualification
Professional experience in construction management and independent handling of construction projects
Sound knowledge in work preparation, construction cost control, measurement, change management and post-calculation
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards and occupational safety regulations in the Swiss main construction trade
Good user knowledge of SORBA and Microsoft 365
Very good German language skills for site management, negotiations and project documentation
