Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Construction Foreman: Building / Civil Engineering for the independent management of diverse construction projects. You take operational responsibility for demanding construction sites and manage work preparation (AVOR), personnel, schedules, costs, quality and billing from project takeover to completion. In addition to site management, you are responsible for controlling, post-calculation and supplier negotiations and ensure economical project execution. As the central contact person, you coordinate clients, site management, suppliers, subcontractors and internal site teams.
Responsibilities:
Independent planning, management and execution of demanding building and/or civil engineering projects
Responsibility for work preparation (AVOR), site organisation and resource planning
Leadership and supervision of foremen, supervisors and site personnel
Monitoring and controlling of schedules, costs, quality and site results
Planning and coordination of the deployment of personnel, machinery, materials and subcontractors
Conducting supplier and contractor negotiations as well as procurement of project-related services
Responsibility for measurement, time sheets, change orders and construction billing
Ongoing project controlling and post-calculation to monitor profitability
Control of performance, productivity and cost development and initiation of measures in case of deviations
Coordination with clients, site management, planners, suppliers and internal departments
Conducting construction meetings, inspections and project handovers
Digital project management and construction administration with construction software, ERP systems and Excel
Qualifications:
Degree as certified construction foreman HF/SBA, civil engineer FH or comparable construction technical qualification
Several years of professional experience as construction foreman in building and/or civil engineering
Sound knowledge in work preparation (AVOR), site management, measurement, billing and post-calculation
Experience with project controlling, cost management and supplier negotiations
Good user knowledge of modern construction administration and ERP software as well as very good Excel skills
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards and Swiss construction processes
Driving licence category B as well as very good German language skills
