For a specialised cyber security environment, an experienced individual is sought who analyses security incidents, handles security events, and drives the development of modern detection and monitoring solutions. The position offers a versatile field of activity between security operations, incident response, and threat detection.
The focus is on initiative, technical depth, and close collaboration within an interdisciplinary security team. Besides the blue team environment, there is the opportunity to contribute occasionally to forensic assignments, major incidents, and purple team activities.
Responsibilities:
Development, implementation, and further development of complex security use cases as well as active participation in the optimisation of detection rules
Triage and analysis of security alerts, identification of false positives, as well as independent prioritisation and documentation of incidents
Preparation of security incidents and creation of clear, comprehensible customer reports
Analysis of logs and events in the SIEM to identify technical correlations and suspicious activities
Support of customers in implementing defined security measures as well as identification of detection gaps and development of new monitoring approaches
Participation in major incidents, forensic assignments, and selected purple team activities
Qualifications:
Completed studies in computer science, further training such as CAS/MAS Information Security or comparable security certification, and at least 5 years of professional experience in a SOC
Broad technical understanding of Windows, Linux, networks, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft security technologies
Strong interest in hacking, vulnerability analysis, and penetration testing as well as understanding of relevant attack techniques
Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and the ability to use TTPs for detection logic and defence measures
Experience in threat hunting is an advantage, as well as high independence, teamwork skills, and an impeccable reputation
Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written, as well as willingness for regular on-call duty
