Role:
As a Senior Wireless Engineer, you are the central contact person for everything wireless. You design the architecture of the Wireless LAN (WLAN) and drive its further development with a clear vision. In projects, you provide the technical direction. You critically evaluate new technologies and bring them into operation. Here, your experience counts as much as your view of the big picture.
Responsibilities:
You plan and optimise radio networks for sales areas, warehouses, and office environments.
As a technical lead, you manage projects from conception to implementation.
In case of persistent faults, you get to the root of the causes and find permanent solutions.
You strategically further develop the architecture of the wireless landscape.
Furthermore, you drive innovations forward and check new standards for their practical suitability.
You also coordinate continuously with colleagues from security and network teams.
Qualifications:
Your foundation is an IT apprenticeship with a federal certificate of competence (EFZ). Further education at a higher technical school (HF), university of applied sciences (FH), or university is an advantage.
You have gained solid practical experience over several years in large wireless environments.
Design, fault analysis, and tuning of complex radio networks are part of your craft.
You feel confident working with LAN/Switching and access solutions such as Cisco ISE or Catalyst Center.
Ideally, you have initial experience in automation with APIs and Python. Certificates such as CCNP or CCNA are welcome but not mandatory.
You also occasionally take on on-call duties and are willing to assist at night or on weekends if needed.
