About the job

We support daily more than 500 children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders throughout the canton of Neuchâtel. Our targeted services in the educational, therapeutic, and pedagogical fields aim to enhance and promote the development of young people with disabilities throughout their schooling. We are a non-profit organisation, recognised as being of public utility and founded in 1967. To fulfil its mission, the Specialised School is seeking an Educational Advisor.

50% Sector Educational Advisor

Your mission:

You will be attached to the intellectual disability sector and act as support and resource in the individualised projects of pupils as well as for the class teachers. You will carry out your work in agreement with the head of the intellectual disability sector. You will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with teachers at educational sites, parents, and your other colleagues.

Your profile:

You hold a HEP pedagogical qualification (social work HES qualifications or equivalents will be considered), ideally complemented by training in special education or any other training in the field of disability and autism spectrum disorders.

You have proven experience with pupils with specific educational needs, which is a real asset for this position.

Recognised for your commitment, tact, and diplomacy, you know how to establish quality relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Motivated and involved, you place particular importance on the relational aspect of your work.

As regular travel is required, you possess a personal vehicle and a driving licence.

Start date: 1st August or to be agreed
