Role:
On behalf of a client, we are seeking an experienced professional as Project Manager Building Technology / HVAC Engineering for the planning and realisation of demanding building technology projects in an established Swiss engineering and consulting company. You will take on the technical and organisational responsibility for complex projects in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and sanitary from analysis and concept development to execution and commissioning. The focus is on interdisciplinary HVAC specialist planning, development of sustainable energy concepts, leadership of project teams as well as cost, schedule and quality management. The position offers diverse technical challenges, high project responsibility and the opportunity to actively shape innovative solutions in building, energy and environmental technology.
Responsibilities:
Project management HVAC engineering: Independent leadership and coordination of demanding building technology projects from feasibility study to commissioning.
Technical concept development: Development of innovative HVAC system concepts, energy concepts and integral building technology solutions for new buildings, conversions and renovations.
Heating, ventilation, refrigeration and sanitary technology: Technical planning and coordination of heat generation, heat distribution, ventilation systems, refrigeration plants and sanitary installations.
Leadership of project teams: Technical leadership of interdisciplinary HVAC planning teams as well as coordination of internal and external project specialists.
Project management: Responsibility for project budgets, cost planning, scheduling, resource coordination and quality assurance.
Energy efficiency and sustainability: Development of energy-optimised building technology systems, decarbonisation concepts and solutions with renewable energies.
Specialist planner coordination: Coordination of building technology planning with architects, structural engineers, electrical planners, building automation specialists and other disciplines.
Tendering and submission: Preparation and review of specifications, technical construction descriptions, tender documents and offer comparisons.
Digital planning and BIM: Coordination of CAD/BIM models, technical planning interfaces and digital building technology processes.
Execution supervision and commissioning: Technical monitoring of installation, functional tests, integral tests, system acceptance and commissioning.
Standards and quality assurance: Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards, SWKI guidelines, energy laws and technical building standards.
Customer consulting and project development: Support of clients and principals, conducting technical consultations and developing economical and future-proof building technology solutions.
Qualifications:
Completed further education as a certified technician HF building technology or Bachelor of Science FH in building technology (HVAC) or comparable technical university education.
Several years of professional experience in HVAC engineering, especially in planning and leading demanding building technology projects.
Sound expertise in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and sanitary technology as well as integral building technology planning.
Experience in project management, leadership of interdisciplinary planning teams, cost management and specialist planner coordination.
In-depth knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainable building technology systems and technical plant concepts.
Knowledge of relevant SIA standards, SWKI guidelines and Swiss energy requirements as well as experience with CAD/BIM planning methods.
Very good German language skills in spoken and written form for technical project documents, customer consulting and project negotiations.
