In this role, you take on the professional and technical responsibility for demanding IT infrastructure projects and ensure their successful implementation. You analyse existing system landscapes, develop suitable solution concepts, and coordinate their introduction together with internal and external partners. You apply your experience purposefully and identify optimisation potentials in complex system environments. You are responsible for planning, controlling, and quality assurance of technical measures while always keeping the economic and technological overall context in view. With your analytical thinking and structured working method, you contribute decisively to the continuous development of the IT landscape.
Responsibilities:
- You design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure solutions in the areas of servers, storage, backup, and virtualisation
- As an IT systems engineer, you are responsible for projects ranging from classic on-premise scenarios to cloud-based architectures in Microsoft Azure or the NetPlans Business Cloud
- In this role, after familiarisation, you take full responsibility for the infrastructure projects of our customers
- You actively work on the further development of existing IT infrastructure solutions and contribute innovative ideas
- During project phases, you support technical concepts with high availability and site networking between data centres
- You advise our sales team on technical issues during the pre-sales phase
Qualifications:
- Completed university degree or training as an IT specialist in system integration
- Practical experience with server and storage solutions as well as modern virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Solid know-how in backup systems and cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with products from leading manufacturers such as Lenovo, IBM, DELL EMC, NetApp, Nutanix, Rubrik, Veeam, or comparable solutions
- Structured, analytical thinking combined with independent and responsible working style
- Strong communication skills, organisational talent, and high customer orientation characterise you
