Automate complex systems and take IT to the next level.
You think in efficient processes, automate recurring tasks, and develop stable system landscapes? In this role, you combine solid Windows expertise with PowerShell scripting and modern virtualisation. You optimise existing platforms, standardise procedures, and create the foundation for a secure, scalable, and high-performance IT operation.
Responsibilities:
Engineering, operation, and continuous development of complex Windows system landscapes
Automation of administrative processes and recurring tasks with PowerShell
Development and maintenance of scripts for system configuration, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
Planning, management, and optimisation of virtualised server environments
Design and implementation of standardised software packages for efficient and reliable software distribution
Automation of installation, update, and uninstallation processes
Further development of deployment and configuration management using modern automation methods
Analysis and resolution of complex system faults as well as sustainable optimisation of system stability
Implementation of security policies, patch management, and technical system standards
Participation in infrastructure projects, system migrations, and modernisation of existing IT platforms
Creation of technical documentation and continuous improvement of operational processes
Qualifications:
Education or further training in computer science, system engineering, or a comparable practical qualification
Several years of experience in system engineering or administration of Windows infrastructures
Very good knowledge of PowerShell and automation of administrative tasks
Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V
Practical experience in software packaging, software distribution, and application deployment
Sound knowledge of Windows Server, system configuration, and patch management
Understanding of IT security, permission structures, and standardised operational processes
Experience with script versioning, for example via Git, as well as interest in Infrastructure as Code are advantageous
Analytical skills and a structured approach to fault analysis
Independent working style and motivation to sustainably improve technical processes
