In this role, you take on a central function in the operational management and measurable improvement and further development of data quality. You create transparency about the condition of critical data, analyse deviations, and drive targeted improvement measures forward. Data Quality & Data Management Specialist (m/f/d)
How you contribute:
- Define, maintain, and further develop entity-specific data quality KPIs for prioritised business data objects
- Build and operate targeted monitoring for critical business data objects including transparent presentation of status, trends, and improvements
- Analyse quality deviations at the data object level and conduct structured root cause analyses in close collaboration with business units and IT
- Derive, prioritise, coordinate, and track data quality improvement measures including clear responsibilities, action plans, and impact measurement
- Methodically support Data Owners and Data Stewards in fulfilling their quality responsibilities and implementing targeted process optimisation projects focusing on data flows, control points, and data quality
- Work closely with the data engineering team, delivery teams, as well as architecture and process excellence specialists on structural causes of quality issues
What sets you apart:
- You have a university degree (Uni/FH) in business informatics, computer science, or a comparable qualification.
- You bring several years of experience in data quality, data management, BI/analytics, reporting, data migration, or a comparable role within a highly regulated industry.
- You possess proficient skills with our tech stack: Microsoft Azure, Lakehouse, Power BI, SQL, and Python.
- You are well versed in the development and operation of data quality KPIs, monitoring, and action management and know what it takes to successfully analyse data issues at the data object level.
- You feel comfortable in a regulated environment and always act entrepreneurially, solution-oriented, and responsibly within the given framework conditions regarding data handling.
- You distinguish yourself through your strong data and process understanding and skilfully and transparently prioritise decisions according to their impact.
- You convince with your mix of structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style as well as your pronounced communication and cooperation skills.
