Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed and technically skilled professional for the holistic planning and construction realisation of demanding architectural and building projects. You will accompany diverse construction projects from the design and planning phase through detailed and execution planning to completion on site. The focus is on developing architecturally and structurally high-quality solutions, coordinating all project participants, and professionally managing construction execution. The position combines design understanding, solid construction technical knowledge, and practical construction management competence with responsibility for timely, cost-effective, and quality-compliant implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Independent handling and accompaniment of demanding building projects from the initial project idea through planning to construction completion

• Participation in design and project development as well as further development of architectural concepts considering design, functional, and economic requirements

• Creation and coordination of project, detail, working, and execution plans as a basis for precise and professional construction implementation

• Development and constructive elaboration of practical building solutions with a special focus on materialisation, feasibility, and detail quality

• Preparation, organisation, and coordination of construction execution including planning of necessary work steps and coordination of involved trades

• Operational construction management and regular presence on site to monitor construction progress and ensure professional implementation

• Coordination and management of specialist planners, contractors, and other project participants to ensure efficient processes and clear interfaces

• Monitoring and control of construction costs, project deadlines, and quality requirements as well as early identification and handling of deviations

• Organisation and conduct of construction and coordination meetings including minute-taking, task management, and follow-up of agreed measures

• Technical coordination with clients, authorities, and executing companies to clarify technical, organisational, and building law issues

• Ensuring compliance with relevant Swiss SIA standards, building regulations, and safety requirements during planning and construction execution

• Accompanying building inspections, defect rectifications, and project completions as well as ensuring careful handover of completed construction projects

Qualifications:

• Completed architecture studies at ETH or FH or a comparable recognised qualification in architecture or building construction with corresponding experience in construction management

• Several years of professional experience in architectural planning or construction management in Swiss building construction with solid practice in project planning, execution planning, and construction realisation

• Good knowledge of Swiss construction and planning processes, especially relevant SIA standards, building regulations, and requirements for cost, schedule, and quality control

• Strong architectural and constructive understanding as well as the ability to independently develop design-convincing and technically feasible solutions

• Confident use of common CAD applications and digital project tools as well as experience in preparing planning documents and coordinating technical execution details

• Independent, structured, and responsible working style with strong organisational talent, quality awareness, assertiveness, and solution-oriented thinking

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as communication skills, teamwork, and confident appearance in dealing with clients, specialist planners, authorities, and executing companies
