Civil Engineering and/or Building Foreman

Mission

In your role, you will be responsible for managing the completion of works while ensuring compliance with efficiency, profitability, quality, and safety standards. You will also need to plan and coordinate interventions on site, while maintaining the dynamism and cohesion of the teams on the ground. You will play a key role in creating a positive working environment based on collaboration, respect, and mutual support among the teams.

Your main responsibilities

• Prepare the work in collaboration with the technician
• Overall management of the project completion, respecting time and efficiency constraints
• Manage materials and subcontractors on site (orders with suppliers and depot)
• Supervise, coordinate and motivate teams to ensure effective project delivery
• Promote cohesion, mutual support and good collaboration among the various site participants
• Ensure good communication with the client (architect/engineer) as the main point of contact
• Write daily reports on Baubit
• Guarantee the quality and compliance of the work with current standards and plans
• Respect and enforce safety and environmental protection rules

Your profile

• Previous experience in a similar role in the Swiss construction sector
• Federal Foreman certificate or equivalent qualification
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a dynamic environment
• Excellent team management skills, with the ability to unite employees, create a climate of trust and maintain a positive working atmosphere on site
• Experience in setting out with a theodolite or GPS rod
• Versatility in civil engineering/building is an asset
