Role:
You design, build, operate and continuously improve global IT infrastructure services - with a clear focus on server, storage, SAN, virtualisation and Active Directory technologies. In this senior position, you manage physical and virtual server platforms, storage systems, SAN infrastructures and other data centre components and plan as well as implement hardware lifecycle activities. You provide 2nd and 3rd level support, analyse requirements and develop secure, scalable and cost-efficient infrastructure solutions. In addition, you automate recurring tasks with PowerShell and work closely with global IT teams, local IT organisations and external partners.
Responsibilities:
You design, operate and improve global IT infrastructure services focusing on servers, storage, SAN, virtualisation and Active Directory
You manage physical and virtual server platforms, storage systems and SAN infrastructures
You plan hardware lifecycle activities such as technology refreshes, firmware updates and capacity planning
You provide 2nd and 3rd level support for servers, storage, SAN, virtualisation, Windows Server and Active Directory
You analyse requirements and develop secure, scalable and cost-efficient solutions
Additionally, you automate tasks with PowerShell and collaborate with global teams and external partners
Qualifications:
You have a bachelor’s degree, higher vocational qualification or equivalent education in IT
You bring at least seven to ten years of experience in IT system engineering or operations
You are very familiar with enterprise server infrastructures, virtualisation platforms as well as storage and SAN technologies
You possess comprehensive knowledge of Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP as well as PowerShell experience
You are knowledgeable in infrastructure security (hardening, patching, privileged access) and with Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity and conditional access
You have experience with vendors and globally distributed teams and possess very good English skills
