Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced specialist as Project Manager Rail Infrastructure & Track for the planning and management of demanding railway infrastructure projects. You will take on the overall project management and coordination of specialist services in interdisciplinary and partly international large projects and accompany projects from the study through design to execution. A focus is on track renewals and the design of railway systems for Swiss railway infrastructure operators. In addition to technical project responsibility, you will contribute to the acquisition of new mandates and develop economical, buildable and operationally coordinated solutions.
Responsibilities:
Management and design of demanding rail infrastructure and track projects
Assumption of overall project management in interdisciplinary and partly international large projects
Leadership and coordination of involved specialist services, engineering disciplines and project teams
Planning and management of track renewals for Swiss railway infrastructure operators
Design of track, trackbed and railway-related infrastructure facilities
Preparation of feasibility studies, variant analyses and technical concepts
Accompanying projects through the relevant planning, tendering and execution phases
Coordination of interfaces to traction power, signalling systems, cable systems, civil engineering structures and other rail technology specialist services
Control and monitoring of costs, schedules, quality and project risks
Consideration of operational phases, closure intervals and railway operational requirements in planning and implementation
Preparation and coordination of tender, award and execution documents
Participation in offers, acquisitions and the development of new rail projects
Qualifications:
University degree as civil, environmental or transport engineer FH/ETH
Professional experience in the design and/or execution of rail and railway infrastructure projects
Knowledge in track, rail or general rail infrastructure planning
Experience in project management and leading interdisciplinary project teams
Knowledge of relevant Swiss railway standards, planning processes and regulations is an advantage
Very good German and English skills; additional languages are an advantage
