We are looking for a curious, autonomous Microbiology Laboratory Technician with a strong team spirit to join the Quality Operations department, based at the biotechnological, pharmaceutical and chemical production site in Bulle, Switzerland.

About the role
You will perform analytical tests in accordance with the instructions received under pre-established conditions of quality (accurate and reliable), timing, technical compliance, hygiene, safety and environmental respect.
The role is mainly during daytime hours, with work one weekend per month.

• Perform microbiological tests (bioburden, endotoxins) for production (IPC, DS) in accordance with work instructions, pre-established procedures and applicable Pharmacopoeias (European, American and Japanese).
• Perform water analyses (WFI, purified water, process water...) TOC, pH, conductivity, bioburden and endotoxins.
• Carry out air and surface sampling in the production area.
• Carry out water sampling in the production or technical area.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Initiate incidents and deviations in the quality system and participate in related investigations.
• Contribute to the drafting of departmental procedures/methods.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Federal VET Diploma as a laboratory technician in microbiology, Federal VET Diploma in biology or an equivalent qualification (technical diploma).
• More than 2 years of experience in a quality control laboratory (GMP standards, an advantage).
• Proficiency in environmental sampling and analytical techniques (Bioburden, Endotoxins, H-UPLC, GC, KF, UV, IR, Elisa, Potentiometry, TOC, etc.).
• Proficiency in the Office suite (Excel, Word, Access); experience with a LIMS is a plus.
• Strong organisational skills, rigor and strict adherence to procedures.
• Strong team spirit, open, communicative and humble personality, enjoying exchanging and sharing ideas.
• Excellent level of French, both spoken and written.
