Head of Sanitary (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional for the technical management and further development of the sanitary department in an established building technology company. You will take on the technical and organisational responsibility for sanitary projects from planning through execution to successful handover. The focus is on department leadership, project coordination, customer consulting, as well as cost, schedule and quality management. The position combines in-depth sanitary technology, entrepreneurial responsibility and operational project management with the opportunity to actively shape processes, standards and the further development of the department.

Responsibilities:

• Technical management and further development of the sanitary department including optimisation of workflows, technical standards and internal processes

• Independent management and coordination of sanitary projects in new construction, conversion and renovation of existing building technology systems

• Responsibility for technical project execution from customer inquiry and planning through work preparation to execution, acceptance and final billing

• Technical leadership and support of employees in the sanitary area as well as coordination of project teams, fitters and external partner companies

• Technical advice to builders, customers and project partners on sanitary installations, drinking water supply, hot water preparation and building drainage

• Development and review of sanitary technical concepts and execution solutions considering cost-effectiveness, energy efficiency and applicable regulations

• Responsibility for cost, schedule and quality management including budget control, project controlling and monitoring of execution quality

• Coordination of interfaces between sanitary, heating, ventilation and other trades to ensure coordinated building technology planning and execution

• Support in tendering, calculations and awarding as well as technical review of offers, material orders and contractor services

• Organisation and supervision of site execution including resource planning, assembly coordination and conducting quality controls

• Support during commissioning, technical acceptance and defect rectification as well as ensuring complete project documentation

• Ensuring compliance with relevant SIA standards and SVGW guidelines as well as further development of technical quality assurance in the sanitary area

Qualifications:

• Completed vocational training in the sanitary field, for example as a certified sanitary installer EFZ or building technology planner sanitary EFZ

• Advanced professional training as a certified sanitary master with federal diploma, alternatively technician HF building technology or equivalent qualification

• Several years of professional experience in project management and execution of sanitary projects, preferably in an executing building technology company

• Sound expertise in drinking water installations, hot water preparation, building drainage and sanitary system planning

• Experience in technical leadership of employees or project teams as well as in organising and further developing a sanitary department

• Knowledge of relevant Swiss standards and guidelines, especially SVGW W3, SIA 385 and SIA 190, as well as experience in calculation, cost control and project accounting

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as confident use of MS Office and industry-specific project and construction administration systems
