Job Description
As a communication specialist, you carry out information, public relations and external communication activities for the Vaud Cantonal Police (PCV) and the Savatan Police Academy (AP). You propose and manage high value-added communication projects (recruitment campaigns, prevention, institutional image). You ensure relations with the media and judicial communication of the Vaud Cantonal Police.
Responsibilities
- Act as the reference communication specialist for the Savatan Police Academy (AP);
- Carry out external information and public relations activities;
- Maintain relations with the media and judicial communication;
- Carry out internal communication and public relations activities;
- Lead communication projects and ensure their follow-up
Specific on-call duties
Be regularly required to work from the Savatan site (1 to 2 days per week);
Assume press responder duties, work outside normal hours, in the evening, at night, at weekends and on public holidays;
May be called upon outside of on-call duties, notably within the ORCA communication unit (Disaster Organisation).

Qualifications
Hold a university Master’s degree relevant to the role or a degree in humanities or related to communication, journalism, etc., and/or higher training related to communication and public relations, certified communication specialist (SPRI, SAWI, etc.)
Perfect command of written and spoken French
Proficiency in IT, office software and Internet tools
Swiss national or holder of a C permit
Able to work under time pressure
Ability to integrate into a small work team
Ease in public speaking and in front of the media
Professional experience in corporate or institutional communication
Good knowledge of German and English is welcome.
Provide own private vehicle for service use and receive the allowance provided by the LPers technical directive
