Construction Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)

Role:

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Construction Manager Building Construction for the independent realisation of demanding new build and refurbishment projects in Central Switzerland. You will take operational responsibility on site and coordinate contractors, tradespeople and specialist planners with a consistent focus on deadlines, costs and quality. In addition to local site management, you will be responsible for tenders, awards, contracts as well as acceptance and defect management. You will work in an architecturally demanding environment and accompany projects with high quality and detailing requirements until successful handover.

Responsibilities:

• Independent site management of new build and refurbishment projects from execution preparation to completion and handover

• Organisation, coordination and supervision of construction sites and construction processes as well as ensuring efficient execution

• Leadership and coordination of contractors, tradespeople and specialist planners as well as coordination of the various trades

• Responsibility for schedule, cost and quality control as well as early management of deviations

• Preparation and execution of tenders and submissions including offer comparison, award preparation and contractor discussions

• Processing and control of contract, change order and invoicing during project realisation

• Review of execution, work and detail plans regarding feasibility, interfaces and compliance with project specifications

• Ensuring professional implementation according to SIA standards, NPK as well as BKP/eBKP and relevant Swiss building regulations

• Organisation and execution of acceptances, defect recording and defect management including control of defect rectification

• Management of site documentation, preparation of protocols and ensuring traceable project documentation

• Coordination and communication with clients, authorities, architects, specialist planners and contractors

• Participation in the optimisation of construction processes, execution details and constructive solutions considering quality and cost-effectiveness

Qualifications:

• Training as a certified construction manager, HF technician in construction planning, FH/ETH architect or comparable construction technical qualification

• Several years of professional experience in site management in Swiss building construction, ideally in new build and refurbishment projects

• Sound knowledge in tendering, awarding, contract management, cost control and construction administration

• Good knowledge of Swiss construction practice as well as relevant SIA standards, NPK and BKP/eBKP

• Experience in reviewing and coordinating execution, work and detail plans

• Good user knowledge of MS Office and industry-standard construction administration or project software

• Very good German language skills spoken and written
