Reporting to the Head of CTO Office, the PMO Manager ensures the operational management of the PMO team and guarantees the quality of the monitoring of the IT and business project portfolio.
You ensure the maintenance and communication of the governance framework and project methodology, and you make sure that projects comply with the defined standards as well as the expected quality of the files presented to decision-making bodies.
You structure the portfolio analysis, consolidate workload and capacity calls, identify risks and tensions, and formulate well-argued arbitration recommendations. You contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes and tools, aiming for simplification, data reliability, and efficiency for project managers and decision-makers.
The tasks awaiting you:
- Manage, lead and develop a team of 5 to 6 PMO collaborators by defining roles, responsibilities and priorities for each, while fostering a dynamic focused on quality, service and continuous improvement
- Maintain and communicate the governance framework, project methodology (lifecycle, milestones, deliverables, decision-making bodies) ensuring compliance with standards and processes as well as the quality of files submitted to decision-making bodies.
- Ensure the application of standards, processes and best project management practices within business and IT teams, while ensuring compliance with governance requirements and the quality of files submitted to decision-making bodies
- Provide a consolidated and coherent view of the project portfolio by analysing capacities, risks, dependencies and priorities, and prepare analyses and decision-support materials necessary for arbitrations.
- Manage portfolio workload calls, ensuring alignment between project needs and available resources and identifying risks of under- or over-capacity of teams.
- Support stakeholders in adopting PMO standards, methods and tools, to strengthen the organisation’s maturity in portfolio and project management.
Your profile:
- Higher education in IT, management, finance/controlling or equivalent
- Significant experience in PMO team management and project portfolio governance
- Excellent mastery of prioritisation issues, capacity planning and performance management
- Strong analytical, synthesis and communication skills with decision-making bodies
- Good knowledge of portfolio management tools (Jira, PPM, advanced Excel or equivalent)
- Understanding of budgetary mechanisms (CAPEX/OPEX, cost tracking, budget variances) and ability to challenge the economic coherence of projects
- Unifying leadership, collaborative spirit and ability to influence in a matrix environment
- Proven experience in supporting organisational transformations and continuous improvement
- French at minimum C1 level and English at minimum B2 level
