Role:

On behalf of a client, we are looking for an experienced professional as Project Manager Ventilation / Air Conditioning for a specialised Swiss building services engineering office focusing on sophisticated ventilation and air conditioning systems as well as holistic HVAC planning. You will independently manage the design, planning and realisation of ventilation and air conditioning systems and oversee medium to large construction projects from concept development to successful handover. The focus is on technical system planning, preparation of tenders, spatial specialist coordination as well as quality, schedule and cost-compliant project execution. The position combines sound HVAC engineering, CAD-supported building services planning and professional site management with high personal responsibility and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Independent project management of sophisticated ventilation and air conditioning systems from preliminary design through detailed planning to commissioning and handover

• Planning and dimensioning of room air technology systems considering usage requirements, energy efficiency and technical framework conditions

• Development of technical ventilation and air conditioning concepts including system selection, air volume calculation, duct network planning and system optimisation

• Creation of precise design, execution and detail plans using 2D/3D CAD systems, preferably Bausoft HaustechCAD

• Preparation of tenders and bidding documents including specifications, quantity surveys and technical specifications

• Review and evaluation of contractor offers as well as support in awarding decisions and technical contract clarifications

• Responsibility for cost, schedule and quality management in medium to large building services projects

• Spatial and technical specialist coordination of ventilation systems with architecture, structural engineering, heating, cooling, sanitary, electrical and other trades

• Coordination with clients, specialist planners and executing companies to ensure technically coordinated and economical project implementation

• Assumption of site management for ventilation and air conditioning systems including site inspections, execution monitoring and technical clarifications

• Support during functional tests, commissioning and system acceptance including defect management and control of technical documentation

• Ensuring compliance with relevant Swiss SIA standards and building services regulations, especially regarding indoor air quality, energy efficiency, hygiene and fire protection

Qualifications:

• Completed training as a building services planner ventilation EFZ with further education as a technician HF building services, HVAC engineer FH or equivalent professional qualification

• Several years of professional experience in the planning and design of ventilation and air conditioning systems, ideally in a Swiss building services engineering office

• Experience in independent project management and site management of medium to large ventilation projects including cost, schedule and quality responsibility

• Sound knowledge of indoor air and air conditioning technology as well as experience in dimensioning, system design and technical coordination of ventilation systems

• Very good knowledge of 2D/3D CAD applications, preferably Bausoft HaustechCAD, as well as understanding of digital planning and coordination processes

• Knowledge of relevant Swiss SIA standards and technical regulations, especially SIA 382/1 as well as applicable energy, hygiene and fire protection requirements

• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form as well as a professional appearance, strong communication skills and a reliable, structured working style
